All of our Drinking Water Systems combine Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and KDF55® technology to improve the taste, color and odor of the water by removing most of the chlorine as well as reducing most EPA-listed contaminants Chlorine, Lead, Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Selenium, Mercury, Iron and other metals that may be present in the municipal water.

The Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is used to improve the taste and odor and remove: Chlorine, THMs, PCBs and many other organic contaminants that may be present in the water.

This leaves the natural minerals intact, providing healthy, great tasting water.

EasyAgua water purification systems are manufactured in the USA by H2o International and have been successful in the USA and South Africa for over 20 years. These systems contain a patented bacteriostatic media and a natural carbon that removes over 100 EPA listed contaminants.

The use of KDF55, a patented and NSF listed media along with the use of the finest coconut shell granular activated carbon (GAC) from Eco Carb ensures the effective removal of chlorine and other contaminants that may be present in your munipal and cistern water.

Apart from the contaminant removal aspects of our filters, we importantly re-introduce trace minerals back into your water too. This results in water which is re-mineralised with increased the pH value for better tasting and healthy water.

While most cartridges last, on average, only 6 months, our filters can go on purifying your water for up to 5 years. That’s 500 times cheaper than buying bottled water!

We can explain Redox (oxidation reduction process) like this:

KDF Fluid Treatment's unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components.

Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the medium's surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply.

Even though GAC is sufficient to correct the problems of 85% of today’s household water, to make the process more complete, we have added the patented KDF to our systems.

KDF significantly removes:

• kills bacteria, fungus and algae.

KDF makes our units completely bacteriostatic; no bacteria will grow in the unit and the life of the cartridge is prolonged.
